Wazzup CuttingEdge-r’s! It’s already the middle of the year and we’re smack in the midst of preparation for this year’s Youth Sunday. This year, we’re focusing on love and appreciation for our parents and elders and for all that they’ve done to make us who we are today (can I hear an ‘Amen‘?). So come join us this Saturday as we put the finishing touches to this up and coming event. So come show your love and let’s do our part to give our elders a good surprise they’ll never forget!

Howdy CuttingEdge-r’s! It’s been an awfully long time since the previous update here; we’ve had an awesome Easter Youth & Sunday service, and the 2 services following it had also been a bang, dont’cha think? We trust that you’ve been blessed as well as empowered by God to keep showing the love out there.

Well, it doesn’t end here, as we’re quickly drawing to the end of April and into the month of May, where we celebrate one of God’s greatest gift on earth to us all: Mom! Watch this space as we update you on happenings as we enter the month of May. But in the meantime, do come expecting greater things from the Lord this coming Saturday; and bring your friends along as well. You won’t want ‘em to miss out on it would’ya?

..although you’ll have to admit that bunnies are cute (and tasty ).

Well, that aside, more importantly, it’s a time of year set aside to remember what our Savior has done for us; that being the Almighty God, He humbled Himself and laid Himself at the cross on our behalf. No other ‘god’ could or would ever boast of greater love than He who gave Himself for us, Jesus Christ. Just a lil’ something to reflect on this week, here’s an oldie, but goodie, which beautifully sums up how great His love is for us, that though we were undeserving sinners that He still chose to reach out to us (click song title for track):

Hard to believe isn’t it? It was here and then it was quickly over :/ I’m talking ’bout DC ‘10 of course! I’m pretty sure all of you guys who were there were undoubtedly touched by God one way or another. And we trust also that you’ve all had a fantastic time there (I know I had ). As much as we miss those days with the fun memories and all, let us not forget that as we go back to our daily lives meeting various people day in and day out, let us not forget to show them love, as Christ has loved us.

Looking forward to seeing you guys once again at the next service this Saturday (27/3/10) for yet another explosive encounter with God And yeah, keep watching this space for photo uploads of the camp in the next few days

That aside, can you believe it, we’re already in the third month of 2010! Talk about how fast time flies, it’s just exactly 2 weeks away from DC ‘10, so hurry, hurry and hurry all ye late registrations; sign up now before it’s too late! It’s the greatest opportunity of the year to experience breakthrough and encounter God like never before and we want all of you to be a part of it. And do not fret if there’s the big financial question mark; the fruits of your labor during our previous fundraising sessions will get you there, so hurry and sign up!

And as you all know, CNY’s around the corner, and so we at CE Youth wish all our Chinese homies a Happy CNY, and through all the celebration and abundance of food, don’t forget to pray and remember God for His faithfulness and providence for us, yeah? And also, don’t forget to join us once again on the 27th of Feb as our youth service resumes. See you guys then!

And what’s lined up for this coming weekend? Well, besides another explosive service on Saturday, we’re having Round 2 (and Final Round) of our DC ‘10 FUNDRAISING. Yep, we’re at it again, this time with a whole new lineup of food and other stuff for sale.

It’s time once again to show some love and bless someone by offering your time and effort this weekend in making this one a success, too. Please check the ‘Announcements‘ section for more details on how you can help.

That’s right, boys & gals (men & women too), DC 2010 forms are out now (details can be found on the Announcements section of the site), so be quick and register yourselves as soon as possible; early bird registrations are up till 21 Feb 2010 (RM230), so hurry and sign up! And don’t forget to bring a friend along!

DC ‘10 FUNDRAISING!

That’s right…! And we’ve got lots of stuff on sale today, from pie to cookies to stew and everything in between. And it’s really been encouraging that all you CuttingEdge-r’s have been so committed and diligent in the preparation process (which btw, was long and hard). God bless y’all; that’s love in action! Some people are gonna be blessed because of the effort you guys have put in. You guys rock!  d(^-^)

But of course it doesn’t end there. Be sure to come again for the next service this Saturday (30/1/10) for more Jesus, and bring a friend as well!

Yep, it’s about LOVE. The theme for the year 2010 is, you’ve guessed it: LOVE. And for those of you who missed the last service, the message was basically about what love is and what love isn’t. Do not fret now if you’ve missed it; there’s a whole lot more to coming your way this whole year. Keep your schedules free this Saturday and come learn about the ‘Types of Love’.

And don’t forget, it’s fund raising this Sunday for DC Camp (watch this space for further details on the camp). There’ll tentatively be food for sale and also a car wash (to be confirmed this Saturday, so please do be present).  So guys, show your love and be prepared to give your time and effort come Sunday to bless and send someone for camp this year! It’s all about love, after all, no?
